Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum

I am so honored to join the March 25th roster of performing artists for "Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drums," a concert to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade.
Other featured performers include Bill T. Jones, Stew, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Izaline Calister, Impact Theatre Group, Sarah Jones and many, many wonderful others. “Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum” is a unique collaboration between the UN and Culture Project, the politicized Off-Broadway theatre folks who produced my critically-acclaimed musical play EXPATRIATE.

THIS IS AN INVITATION ONLY EVENT. Call Melissa Hale Woodman at (212) 925-1806 for more details. Visit www.cultureproject.org to learn more about the co-producers of this special event.
