new poem: for feminist sisters

i hold space

for your ferocity
& your tenderness

for your inner warrior

& your inner child

for your curiosity

& your certainty

for your memories
& your tears

i hold space
for your fury

& your mercy

for your divine love
& carnal wind
for the way you lure men

& the way you crave womyn
for your nerve
& your healing

i hold space
for your grayness
& your vivid colors

drawn outside

of thick black lines
for your fertility

& your barrenness
for your detachment
& your concern

i hold space
for our daydreams

& manifestos

for our bold schemes

& concrete actions
our rebel laughter

& midnight magic
for our circle
& our difference

i hold space
for the movement
& the missteps

for the learning lows

& hard-earned highs
be we blood

be we comrades

be we homegirls

be we wives
